This weblog is one of the key components in the whole "ShoeFriend.com -> KinesioloGENE.net" thing. While saying that photography is such a great way to express our mind, I actually find myself terribly lazy - being unable to keep writing day by day, I eventually decided to have such photo blog. Plus, I do feel the bigger sized pictures deliver the ideas and emotions behind lens much better. Well, some thoughts in words could still be accessed via blog.kinesiologene.net.

The gears I use for shooting are not that fancy, but they are certainly more than enough for the entry-level me. The pocket-size Lumix DMC-LX1 from Panasonic is quite ready-to-go. For 'point n' shoot', the recently equipped Canon EOS 350D is doing a very decent job. The SONY DSC-F707 now works perfectly as my 'blogging-camera', mainly because that I got the memory stick slot on my VAIO laptop which makes transferring data a lot easier n' faster.

Oh, me. My name is Gene and I am in Kinesiology. See where KinesioloGENE came from? I just had my degree of BSc in Honours Kinesiology done at the University of Waterloo in the past April. For some reason, I'm really keen into the athletic footwear stuff n' dream to be a shoe designer. As there are a lot of relevant studies going on at the Human Performance Lab in the University of Calgary, I chose here for my grad studies. I'll start it in this coming fall term, focusing on human biomechanics. In terms of the future plan, I am thinking of working for either Nike or adidas in Portland afterward. Yea, that's pretty much about me.

My photography background? Literally, there isn't one. I'm just an everyday student who loves taking pictures AND doing post processing. Basically I shoot whatever beautiful n' somewhat meaningful in my eyes. There was one photo contest at UW in which I participated; mostly I just post photos at nowhere than my blog. What I gotta learn is way more than what I got, so you are more than welcome to comment on the posting and your thoughts will be highly valued.
